Magical. Charming. Delightful. TULIPS! I can’t help but love them even if the bunnies and squirrels prey on mine. I plant a few every year with a handful of daffodils or alliums and hope for the best.
Spring Eternal
Flowers have returned. In January when our bodies are convinced winter will last forever, we wrap ourselves in blankets and pour over seed catalogs, watch garden TV, and suspect spring will never arrive.
Coming Up Crocus
Spring is coming to call early this year. I’m not ruling out snow in April, though. As trees begin to slowly hum in the bright March sunshine, small bulbs are waking up and stretching.
Emerging Garden: What's Coming Up Now?
So my snowdrops have been blooming since January and the bulb iris is already done. However, now is the time when plants are beginning to emerge from the soil as temperatures warm and days lengthen.
